Bio & Credentials
Passionate about health and wellness from a young age, I completed a 750 hour course of massage studies at Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in Worcester, Massachusetts, in January of 2009 at the age of 19 and was awarded a Certificate of Therapeutic Massage. This was one year after earning my Reiki Mastership under a local teacher while in senior year of high school.
Widely recognized as one of the best schools in the region, Bancroft gave me a strong background in Anatomy and Physiology and the ability to understand how specific techniques work on body tissues and when to apply them.
I have since furthered my education and improved my skill set through studying and earning certificates in Prenatal Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Upper Body Myofascial Release Massage, Lower Body Myofascial Release Massage, as well as several courses on addressing the needs of Active Seniors, Elderly Clientele, and those with specific conditions and diseases.
My studies continue with a 170 hour Orthopedic Massage Certification program through the Academy of Clinical Massage (in conjunction with OMERI, founded by Whiney Lowe), through which I am learning how to better assess and treat specific soft-tissue injuries. Though just at the beginning of this program, I've found my ability to critically think about treatment planning has already improved.
